About the Club We are the History & Culture Club (HCC) exploring the gallery of time and the arts of many eras. The club was founded in 1978. Membership in the History & Culture Club is open to residents and non-residents. The club offers 9 captivating events yearly.  

Dues For 2025 are $25. Applications from October 1 will automatically be given membership through the following year.

Meetings The club will host 5 speakers in its 2025 Speaker Series.  These events usually take place in Gateway's Fireside Room at 10am on the first Tuesday of the month. Information about the speakers will be available on our website under the Events Tab.

Tours The club’s 2025 Tour Program will consist of 3 live tours. Bus typically leaves from Gateway on or about 9 am. Information and registration instructions about the tours will be published about 45 days before each tour. Registration for the tours is by mail only.

Input from members is encouraged regarding program ideas for speakers and tours. Additionally, HCC is seeking potential Board members.  If you have some program or tour ideas, or wish to explore a role on the Board, please email claire.mittler@gmail.com. Many people have generously donated their time and expertise to make HCC an interesting and on-going club. It really does take a village. Please consider volunteering your ideas, time and skills to ensure that the club isn’t relegated to the gallery of time.

Communication In addition to the website, email is the primary communication vehicle for the club.  Members receive an eNewsletter published during most months. The eNewsletter contains advance copies of articles in the Rossmoor News as well as information of interest to members.
